How does psychotherapy work?

Our early relationships and experiences strongly shape how we go on to deal with our later life and relationships so  in understanding our history we are enabled to work through difficulties in our present lives.

Identifying patterns in behaviour and relationships and adapting them, or adopting new approaches in order to acquire a deeper contentment in life.

By facilitating a deeper understanding of emotions and other mental processes to help gain a greater insight into feelings and thought patterns which can result in making better life choices.

In increasing awareness of how unconscious motivations can influence how we think, feel and act can be helpful in dealing with mental or emotional distress and promote self-reflection, insight and emotional growth.
